Retrieving a Deleted Phone Number:
A. Call History Log:
Look in your Call History log, and see if you can grab their info from there.
B. View your Carrier's Site:
Sign in to your Carrier's site, seeing if you can find their call info.
C. Look On Another Device:
Is Contact Enabled in iCloud? Look on another device, seeing if it is seen the the Contacts app. IMPORTANT: Disable all Internet connections(i.e. by powering off your router) so that nothing syncs. If it syncs, then it will be gone).
