Apple TV / Showtime Issue

I have a Showtime channel subscription on my Apple TV. For some reason I am being prompted to use the Showtime app to watch an episode of a series. Only issue is I don’t have an actual Showtime account - I used Apple TV to subscribe. i don’t understand why fir this show it sends me to the app and everything else can be viewed through Appletv.

How do I resolve ?
