I have google calendars setup on my iOS calendar.
there are a few colleagues who share their calendar and I usually keep them off. When I turn off “Events affect availability “ setting and hit save, the following happens. It turns off on the setting page and prompts me to save. After a while when I come back and check it’s on automatically. How do I make it permanent?

I am having the same problem while running iOS 17.0. It's super annoying that turning the toggle off won't save correctly. It is also happening on the macOS calendar app. I'm wondering if it is attempting to save the setting within the colleagues' calendars but failing due to permissions (they aren't my calendars)
Same here on ios 17.1. I checked Google's calendar support info and there's nothing that relates to this. It's unfortunate that this community doesn't offer better answers.
I have the exact same issue in Mac OS 13.2.1 and IOS 16. I have a calendar shared by company and my phone keeps turning do not distribute mode when they have a meeting in calendar which has nothing to do with me. it is very annoying.

Same thing right here, I have a shared Google Calendar with my team and when I disable the option it keeps turning back on :/
