Apple music doesn't download losless formats to mac music when i purchase.

There were butiful times with apple and itunes...

then came the "MUSIC" app

I am totally frustrated with splitting itunes,apple music.

i have a lot of issues if someone at apple is listening???

1> when streaming/playing from apple music..... i was unable to make purchases of albums. i had to go to itunes and serch the album again and then download it.!!! (what junk is thi?????)

2>After i purchased music from Itunes store and had the download setting set to download songs in Hi-Res Lossless still all the downloads on mac were AAC MPEG4 formats?? (Thats a bigger junk))

Thanks for the reply dear SAM2023J.

However that's very sad.... even after paying equivalent to CD price we cannot download the original quality files in lossless. i request apple to please let us download lossless.

Hi,

To add to previous replies, Music purchased from iTunes Store is protection free 256 Kbps AAC files. If you have an Apple Music subscription, backup your purchases and then remove download. If the track is available as lossless or hi-res, you can stream or download those versions. However, the download version has copyright protection and is only available with an active Apple Music subscription.

Lossless downloads are available for purchase at many other download stores, including BandCamp, JunoDownload, Beatport, and EClassical. Download from there and add it to your Music library.
