Greetings Praveeniti123!

If you are receiving a message stating that liquid has been detected in the lightning port of your iPhone 12 running iOS 16, even though the phone is completely dry, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  • Restart your iPhone: Sometimes, restarting the device can help resolve temporary glitches or false sensor readings. Press and hold the power button, and when the "slide to power off" option appears, slide it to turn off the device. After a few seconds, press and hold the power button again until the Apple logo appears to restart your iPhone.
  • Clean the lightning port: Use a soft, clean, and dry cloth or a soft brush to gently clean the lightning port of your iPhone. Ensure there is no debris, dust, or moisture trapped inside. Be careful not to damage the port while cleaning.
  • Check for physical damage: Inspect the lightning port and cable for any signs of damage, such as bent pins or corrosion. If you notice any damage, it is recommended to visit an authorized service center or contact Apple support for further assistance.
  • Contact Apple support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is recommended to contact Apple support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance. They can help diagnose the problem and provide appropriate solutions.

It's worth noting that the liquid detection feature in iPhones is designed to protect the device from potential damage caused by liquid exposure. If the issue persists even though there is no actual liquid present, it is best to have it checked by professionals to ensure the proper functioning of your device.

Hoping the issue no longer persists,
