deleted emails from Mac still showing on iPhone
I normally delete emails via my Mac, but they still show in my iPhone. How do I stop this? I just want to delete them once in my Mac.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.2

It all depends on whether your email account is using IMAP protocol. If it’s using POP you are seeing normal behavior. IMAP keeps all of your email on a server. If you delete an email on one device it is deleted on every other device using the same email account. POP keeps your email on your device and you must delete the same email on each device. So check with whoever your email account is with (Google, Yahoo, your ISP, etc.)
I don't use Gmail, so my help will be limited. Ideally, another Gmail user can help us out.
Your screenshot above seems to be from a Mac or PC, correct? IMAP is enabled for mail on this device.
If I'm correct so far, the next step would probably be to Delete the current Gmail account on your phone and then set up Gmail again, looking for an option to use IMAP.
To delete the current Gmail account on your Phone......
Tap Settings
Scroll down and Tap Mail
Tap Accounts
Tap Gmail
Tap Delete Account
Close the windows and go back to the Home Screen again
Tap Settings
Scroll down and Tap Mail
Tap Add Account
Select Gmail (Other) and watch for an option to use IMAP
But, as I said, I don't use Gmail, so I cannot say whether this will do the trick. It would not hurt to refer to Gmail Support on questions.

Another user who is familiar with Gmail may be able to help out as well.
If you have an POP mail account on two or more devices, what you do on one device will not change what happens on the other devices.
If you have an IMAP mail account on your devices, if you make a change.....for example, delete an email on one device.....then that change will happen on all of your devices.
How do you know what kind of account you have? That is a question for your email service company. That might be Hotmail, Gmail, AOL Mail, Yahoo, etc.
In most cases, you can choose the type of account that you want to set up. I think you can understand why most users who have multiple devices prefer IMAP.
Pretend that I just put my wine down. Can you explain this to me in a simple matter as I do not understand what POP or IMAP protocol are.
This is what my gmail account says and that is what I am having the problem with. Is the mapping also in the settings for the device or is it just gmail?
