Why did my notes disappear?

I was typing in my notes I had over 200 of them and when I went back into my app it magically disappeared all my notes gone not deleted just gone

iPad, iPadOS 16

All notes disappeared i was just scrolling through my notes when in a second all my notes disappeared on the notes app, everything. Thankfully I had them saved on icloud. Do you know what could be wrong?
