Stolen iPhone no longer shown in my devices

Greetings friends

A question that always occupies my mind is that my phone was stolen and I quickly saw the last moment it was on with another iPhone, but I didn't put it in lost mode, then I wanted to see the last place it was lost for a while, but it was no longer there. Now the question is, did the thief turn off my phone and that's the reason why it doesn't show my phone, or did he have my password and disabled "find my phone"?

Thank you for your precious efforts

By the way, my phone was iPhone 13 :(

Only possible if the thief knows your Apple ID and Password or your Screen Lock passcode.

Have you removed it from your own Apple ID?

Don'ts

If the device is removed from an account after it is erased, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use the device.

An example of my iPhone 5 is given in the GIF below. There is no "Undo" after you remove it from your account.

Beware of Phishing!

Be careful and be smart to --> Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phoney support calls ...

Note: Apple will never send you any info on Lost/Found iPhones. It (Phishing) may appear as the image given below.

Switched Off? Still traceable

Even if the iPhone is switched off it is findable, see the pic below.

Device Offline?

I see my device in Find My, but it's offline

If you see "Offline," "No location available," or "Location Services Off," your device might be offline for one of these reasons:

Don't see your device?

  • You might not have Find My turned on.
  • If you're using the Find My app, you can't see your device's location if more than 7 days have passed since its last location was sent to Apple.
  • If you're using iCloud.com/find, you can't see your device's location if it's powered off, the battery has run out, or more than 24 hours has passed since its last location was sent to Apple.
  • Learn how you can still protect your information.

If the phone was powered off, it still might send out an intermittent Bluetooth signal that could possibly be picked up by another iPhone in close proximity. But, if the battery has run down, the phone cannot send out any signal at all.

I assume that the thief could not know your passcode, so they could not have changed any of the settings on the phone.

If the phone does not show up in the next few days, unfortunately you have to be realistic about things. The phone is gone.
