iPad 10th Generation are having two speakers (providing output) and two without ?

Hi Apple

I have an iPad Pro M1 and as we know it has 4 speakers where we have the output from all four grills.

However, I came across and learned from the apple authorised store this morning. That the iPad 10th Gen has 4 speaker grills but the audio output is only from the two speakers.

I had to buy one and In my instance there is no sound output from the speaker grill next to the touch ID and exactly perpendicular next to USB C connector slot (right side of the USB C connector)

The sound is balance when in landscape mode or kept vertically.

But is this actually for real? I was yet having doubts I tried to engage technical folks at Apple support and sales team but they were not aware of this either and took most of my time asking the same queries back & forth.

If this is real, I want to know how are the speakers working actually? what's difference in Landscape stereo audio and Four speaker audio (in Pro models)

Yes, your are right today i buyed , i noticed instantly, i contact aptronix begumpet store from where i buyed. They told me to contact the apple customer care, upon contacting the customer care, they had run diagnostics on the ipad and told me there is nothing wrong in the device and advised me update the ipad to 17.2 but still could not figured out what was solution was. I am surprise that the people who are sitting in customer support team dont have any idea. dont know what should i do as well. upon searching internet came across this string.

With the sole exception of recent models of iPad Pro that have four speakers - all other models of iPad have two speakers.

Recent models of iPad and iPad Air have one speaker at top and bottom - such that what viewed in Landscape orientation (to match the aspect ratio of most video content), you will effectively have a left/right stereo pair.

Older models of iPad have two speakers on the bottom edge of the iPad - one placed either side of the Lightning port. For these models, with the iPad positioned in Landscape orientation, both speakers are to one side of the screen.

For the iPad Pro models with four speakers, the left-right channel relationship remains constant, as the speakers actively follow the orientation of the iPad. As such, speakers to the left of the screen will always be the left audio channel - while the speakers to the right of the screen will always be the right audio channel.
