Error occurs when Exporting Videos in FCPX on Mac Studio running Ventura

I am trying to export a master file of a video created in FCPX, 10.6.5, and keep getting error 12905. I don't know how to correct this. I am running macOS Ventura 13.2.1 on a apple M1 Max Studion

You've got CleanMyMac which has been known to damage the ProApps. Start by completely uninstalling it. It's possible it damaged your system and you may need to do a clean install of the OS. A clean install might not be a bad idea because the report suggests you migrated everything from another machine, which can bring across old (like the Flip4Mac WMV you have) and incompatible software.

For a clean install to work, after reformatting your drive you *only* migrate your User data, no Applications or anything else. Download fresh Apps from the App Store (except for FCP because the recently released 10.6.6 appears to be problematic) and from 3rd party developers.

You've got 3rd party antivirus apps which can interfere with the ProApps. Only run MalwareBytes on demand, not continuously and remove the others.

You've got Google's terrible keystone software installed. This can break the ProApps. See https://chromeisbad.com for instructions on how to completely remove all the files scattered across your drive. Simply trashing Chrome.app is not enough.

I'd recommend starting with the easy and then considering a clean reinstall:

Reset FCP prefs. Hold command and option while launching FCP. See if this helps.

Remove CMM, Sophos, Chrome and the keystone software.

Then, reinstall FCP from a backup (don't upgrade to FCP 10.6.6 if you're not running it already)

If none of this works you could try a test clean OS install on an external SSD, boot from that and see if the problem is resolved.

I agree 100% with terryb about removing all the bad things mentioned.

I also agree that a clean install is a good idea. The good news is that erasing the drive completely is no longer necessary.

1) BACKUP

2) System Settings->General->Transfer or Reset and click Erase All Content and Settings

3) When your mac restarts choose to migrate “from another mac, drive or Time Machine backup” and CRUCIALLY- as terryb pointed out-check only the user accounts.

I think I solved the issue.

I create a new project, I copied the entire timeline of previous one (CMD+A) and I copied all the work on the new project. Exporting it, the problem was solved.

Then, before of use the Apple ProRes file for Compressor (to create many version of the edit) I saw the video created and.... it was INTERLACED.

So I changed the project setting to PROGRESSIVE and the error 12905 come back!

My project contains progressive video on MP4 coming from internet, my original clips created with a Canon videocamera XHA1 (minidv with 1440x1080i of resolution), many images, effects and so on.

So exporting this project in Apple ProRes format (422) with a resolution of 1440x1080p the error comes out.

If I use an export with 1920x1080p, the error comes out.

But If I change the project proprieties on 1080i, it exports the video on every resolution I choose.
