That’s correct. You can not modify the character set. It is controlled by the Unicode consortium.

Recent Emojis Not Staying in Front I recently upgraded to an IPhone 16. When I had my iPhone 12 every emoji I used stayed in front of the emoji selection as soon as I used it. Now they do not. I cannot get emojis. The world and emoji on keyboard are not there. I cannot get emojis. The globe and emoji symbols have disappeared on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

New emoji are only added when apple updates iOS. If you are fully updated, you have all the emoji possible.
