I have added a number of theatre tickets to my Apple wallet using the same company so I know it is supported.
when I’ve tried to add them today it is taking me to a website not the Apple wallet? Help! I use this function a lot .

Wallet keeps tix you’ve used or deleted. Those count toward your maximum. The list is way down at the bottom of the page. Scroll down, tap edit, then tap remove all.

The ticket issuer must enable the "Add to Apple Wallet" feature for every ticket they issue.

They have - when I click on the icon it takes me to the last website I have accessed in Safari
