Update 16.5

IOS 16.5 isn’t downloading to my iPhone XR. It begins to update and, after approximately 7 minutes it reads ‘preparing update’ and it hangs there. Any advice please?

Unable to install the latest update on iPhone I just finished downloading the new software update 16.5.1, however when i tried to install it, i was unable to install it. It says retry and remind me later. I do not know what seems to be the problem, can someone help me solve it? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

What does “hangs there” mean exactly? The fact the download took 7 minutes indicates you likely have a very poor Wi-Fi connection, poorly charged battery, or insufficient iPhone storage free space.

Be prepared to “hang there” for at least 30 minutes given how slowly your download progressed.
