Unable to verify product purchase date

I keep getting the error "Sorry, we’re currently unable to validate your purchase date.

Please enter the purchase date from your receipt to continue." when checking Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support . When entering the date, it also says it can't be verified. On the "More Info" section on About This Mac, it says it's still covered.


Not sure if it matters, but this Mac was used as one of the display models.

Do you have any particular issues with it?


I had the same with a MBP that I bought new from an authorized reseller. I think they never reported the sale to Apple. I never needed warranty service and when I brought it in for evaluation, I got a broken key courtesy fix and even a battery replacement service. The serial number was in the repair order and I never had a problem with it working or getting those repairs from Apple. But I think my receipt would have sufficed.
