Can I record audio on my MacBook Pro when the lid is closed?

Basically just the question on the title. I want to record some audio when the lid is closed on my MacBook Pro and I'm wondering if that's possible somehow, and
If it is possible, will the lid being closed mess up the sound quality because of microphone placement or something?

I have a MBP 14" 2021 (M1 Pro, 8c/14c, 512GB) running Ventura 13.3.1 (a)

Dear the_apple_sheep,

Sadly, when MacBook goes to sleep(closing the lid), all actions are put on pause. To answer your question, it is currently not possible to record audio in an application such as Voice Memos with the lid closed.
