How do I delete wallpaper on this phone?

With iOS 16 (on my iPhone 8) I tried many of the solutions suggested for deleting a wallpaper. My "touch and hold" on the Lock Screen never worked so I finally just went into Wallpaper in Settings. Swiping up didn't show any Trash button. What I tried then was just to select a wallpaper I wanted to change and tapped the Photos button on the bottom left and selected a new photo from my Photos. That worked and it changed. I never was able to actually delete an already set wallpaper, just change it.

Hello! Here's how you change your wallpaper:

1. Open Settings
2. Scroll down to find 'Wallpaper'
3. Tap it

You can then change your Home screen or Lock screen wallpaper!
