Lock Screen photo and dynamic wallpaper

I’ve always had a personal photo as a Lock Screen, and dynamic wallpaper. I wanted to update the photo, but when I do the only option for wallpaper is changing the colour/gradient. The dynamic wallpaper is still there under Collections if I want to set the Lock Screen AND wallpaper, but as soon as I then change the Lock Screen to a photo the wallpaper option changes to only colour/gradient.

Is there a way to have a personal photo as a Lock Screen and something from the Collections wallpaper choices as wallpaper?

Hey there Tiggersgal01,

That's a strange issue to occur, especially since you're still able to set them both to different wallpapers. We'd like to help rule out some possible causes, along with learning more about what's happening:

When did the issue start with the Lock Screen wallpaper changing to a different color, and does the same issue occur with other wallpapers you set for it?
Are we correct in understanding the wallpaper you set for the Home Screen has no issues, no matter which one you set for it?
Since you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.5. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.
