I too have a 14.5inch iPad Pro and cannot find a new case for it anyone else been able to find one.

There isn’t an iPad Pro 14.5”. Current models are the 11” or 12.9”.
Screen size is measured between the diagonally opposite corners (i.e., top-left to bottom-right of the visible screen - not including the screen bezel.

As I have already described, you must measure the visible (i.e., lit) area of the screen. Do not include the bezel in the measurement.
As is, you appear to have a first or second generation iPad Pro 12.9”:
The first and second generation iPad Pro 12.9”, with a physical Home Button, have a larger chassis and much wider screen bezels than the third/fourth/fifth generation iPad Pro 12.9”.
The case that you have purchased is very likely intended for the newer model 12.9” devices - and will be too small for your older model.
