2 esim not working simultaneously

I have 2 lines on iphone 12 pro. I used to have a physical sim and an esim. Both lines could be on simultaneously. I just migrated the physical sim to an esim and i can only turn one line at a time: why? Automatically the other line goes to off: how can i fix it?
