When using the Apple TV app, users should sign in through the in-app Settings (sprockets wheel icon), the going to Accounts, then entering their Apple ID account and password. Users may be asked once for a two-factor authentication verification code (if this is activated). This code would be send to their trusted Apple devices or else a trusted phone number, as the user has specified for their account.
