Preview Freezes when printing

I have a MacBook Air running OS Ventura 13.3.1 and an HP Officejet 9010 series all in one printer. When printing from Preview (usually PDFs), the file will print but then Preview freezes and I have to force quit it. I've downloaded the latest firmware from HP and it reports there are no updates included for my printer.

I have not noticed issues printing from anywhere other than Preview or I would suspect an HP issue rather than a Ventura issue. Any tips? Solutions? Suggestions? Thank you!

I have this problem too with a 2022 M2 MacBook Air running Ventura 13.2 and a Kyocera printer. I was actually wondering if it was a Kyocera problem but I'm guessing not based on your information. It has been happening for me for a long time - at least 6 months (since I bought this computer which was also the first time I used Ventura).


It only happens to me after I've printed a few PDF's. I can always print the first 1-3 easily with no hangups, but then the ones after that take minutes to print each. These are mostly text PDF's and the file sizes are in KB's not even MB's. This problem did NOT happen with my 2016 MacBook Pro but I was running an earlier version of MacOS.
