Screen Resolution Changed Without My Decision

Hi all,

I have a 2019 Macbook Pro. I have a 1440p Asus Pro Art Display. They normally play quite nicely together, and I am able to have the 1440p screen resolution. However, today, it decided it would only go to 1920x1080 with no other options for a greater resolution. I am a t a loss for what to do. I have clicked "show all resolutions."

How can I get it back to 1440p?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.3

Sorry just saw this.

Yes it is the ASUS PA278QV display

2560 x 1440.

I am using the HDMI cord to my Macbook. It is being used through the QGeeM adapter:

I never had problems with it until today. I've owned this monitor for 2 years, and it was putting it out at 1440 yesterday.

HDMI cables you want for HDMI-only Displays (higher resolutions than 720p TV sets) are marked as Certified with an anti-counterfeiting tag and are labeled:

"Premium High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "with Ethernet" --OR--

"Ultra High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "48G"

Cables with No Certification tags are good for your standard 720p TV set, and not much more.
