I share my location with my husband indefinitely, it showed through our messages I cancelled location at 10:24 pm. I never touched anything pertaining to location. Why would it shut off? Also, how do I stop it from auto turning off? Is there a way for it to notify me if and when it does?

We would be unable to retroactively determine why location sharing was disabled. One thing to consider, did you make any changes to your device or Apple ID around this time?

Find people and share your location with Find My

if you have it set for share indefinitely :
If he removes you from his friends on “find my” it’ll say you stopped your location.
