Microphone cutting out on FaceTime - Apple Community

This happens 100% of the times on my MacOS running 13.3.1 (a)—but also before that release. Basically the mic has cut off on all macOS versions I have used on all the Macs I have owned that had FaceTime with screen sharing.

The sound cuts the moment I start sharing. And of course, video and sound was perfect up until that moment. Restart of Mac does not resolve anything. Restart FaceTime app does not fix the issue. Using AirPods does not fix the issue. Changing mic or toggling it on and off does not fix the issue. Toggling other things, like camera and screen sharing does not make the mic work.

The only way to make the mic on the Mac work for FaceTime after it has cut, is to hang up and call again.
