Screen mirroring from mac to tv - black screen Hi, I have an issue with screen mirroring from my Macbook Air M3 to LG C2. My 2 other MacBooks don't have any problems connecting to the TV. An attempt results in a black screen on the TV and a switched resolution on the computer for around 1 minute. After the connection stops, pops up a window saying "Could not connect to [TV's name]". While the connection lasts, all normal options for the second screen appear in settings, like a normal screen mirror. I can't figure out if the problem lies on the TV's or the computer's side. Both devices run on the latest updated versions. I have no idea what to do, I will be grateful for any suggestions.

Screen Mirroring - audio yes, video no? Not able to use screen mirroring macbook pro to apple tv. Can get the screen to appear but when trying to play video content - the audio comes through clearly but video is not visible. Can only see images in the thumbnail. Have tried updating both devices and turning both off and on again.

Using a TV as the only monitor with Apple silicon without mirroring. My M4 Mac mini is connected to my smart TV via HDMI. I may not have noticed it before, but now screen mirroring (to the TV) is permanently on (blue icon in menu bar). It works fine, but does mirroring have to be on? I can't find a way to turn it off. The display settings give the options: When connected to TV Ask What to Show Mirror Entire Screen Choose Window or App Use as Extended Display I'd rather the TV was just seen as my one and only monitor. macOS: Sequoia 15.2

Apple says: "Use AirPlay to stream or share content from your Apple devices to your Apple TV, AirPlay-compatible smart TV, or Mac"

Is your TV Airplay-compatible? This won't work unless it is.
