My Airport Extreme suddenly stopped working. While waiting for a replacement, can I replace an Airport Extreme (A1354) with a 2nd generation Airport Express? I had been using the Extreme in bridge mode.

I used two Extremes in my wifi set up. One in my house and the other Extreme in my garage. They are joined by an ethernet cable.
I want to use the Express as I did the Extreme in my garage. Do the settings have to be exactly the same for both routers for this to work? The settings I used for both routers are "Create a wireless network" in bridge mode and WPA Personal. Is this correct?

Yes, you can replace your Extreme with an Express, as the latter can also be configured as a bridge.
When I set up the Express, should I change the network shown in this jpg. from the Apple Network to my Network name?
