we want to set a passcode on Apple Watch but it’s greyed out - we have re paired iPhone and watch, taken off passcode on screen time, looked at vpn management nothing in there - any further ideas much appreciated

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! Checking for VPN was a great step. Do the devices belong to either a business or school which would install a profile? We ask as that would also prevent changes to settings. You can check by going to: Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Additionally an exchange account may also include a profile listed in the same section. An exchange account would also be from a business, school, or Outlook for example.

Hi lissy-12 thanks for the response the device is a personal one and in VPN & Device Management it shows Not Connected as per screenshot below - any more advice much appreciated 😀
