How to remove the ask you virus from my MacBook Air?

hey,

exidently I've downloaded the bad virus "ask you" on my Mac book.

I wanted to ask for help if someone else also had this situation, or if somebody is able to give me advices how to remove this.

I would be really happy about a review.

I had the same problem and all the tutorials on the internet did not respond correctly or forced me to install a certain app. I managed to solve this big problem in this post. Go to Safari\Settings\Sites\Notifications and delete an unnamed "configured site", whose icon resembles the virus gear.

There are no viruses that affect macOS so just forget that idea. Please describe what you see on your Mac that has led you to that assumption.

Are those popups appearing in the upper right corner of your Display?

If so those are Safari Notifications. Stop them by following these instructions.

  • Go to Safari's Preferences or Settings menu > Websites > Notifications, and remove everything there.

Don't allow websites to send you Notifications unless you are 100% certain that you want that kind of harassment. Refer to Customize website notifications in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.
