I got a text from my mother saying 'Can I call you later', but she did not send it. What are the possible ways that this could happen?

Sending a Text Unknowingly:

  1. She may have spoke using Siri.
  2. Someone may be scamming the number.
  3. Or, someone else has access to her iPhone.
  4. Or, she texted you and she just doesn't recall doing so.

Noticing Scamming of Numbers:

As an individual, you’d have to do so by eye-of-sight, pretty much all having to do with (mis)comprehension. Otherwise it’s a legal matter.

  • Vulgar

  • Sarcasm

  • Off-Topic

  • Continuity

  • Irrelevance

  • Solicitation

  • Vocabulary

  • Perseveration

  • Spelling errors

  • The time of day/night of the text

  • Too technical (untypical features used)
