Change default save location for Quicktime screen recordings

Hello, I need to Quicktime to save to Documents/screen_recordings instead of the Desktop by default every time. I can get this to work once by manually selecting the folder I want to save to, but it does not remember my selection for the next recording. I have "Remember Last Selection" on. How can I make quicktime save to screen_recordings every time by default?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.2

the recordings should be saving to "screen_recordings" every time when you have "Remember Last Selection" enabled. and I'm unsure why yours does not.

but if I may offer my two cents, whenever I have anything other that "desktop" set as the save to location, I have had issues with my longer recordings stopping unexpectedly and / or not saving. I now use "desktop" as my save to location for all recordings and then move them myself to my desired location afterwards. I haven't had an issue since.
