I just made a new screen recording, however after I stopped it I instantly swiped right (instead of clicking on it then hitting the "Done" button). As a result, my screen recording has been deleted and I can no longer recover it, despite apple saying that swiping right should instantly save it.
For the record, i have enough memory to be able to store the file, so wondering why it has been deleted.

I can see where it is saved to, and can see that it didn't save. I guess the question is why, as according to Apple it should have saved

to see if the recording was saved, you can use the keyboard shortcut "shift-command-5" to bring up the recording controls. then choose "options".
and then, in those options, check the "save to" location to see where the recording went.
