Dictation Duplication and deleting

Hi!

I have two problems going on when using dictation. I rely on using dictation to speak notes after seeing patients and I use a MacBook Air (macOS 12.6) and find it incredible frustrating because I don't have these issues on my iPhone. My MacBook will duplicate my sentences and also, after I dictate several sentences it deletes everything that I have dictated back to the starting point. How do I fix these problems?
