Alarm doesn’t sound

I don’t get the reminders app. What’s the purpose of setting a reminder if I need to set an alarm to remind me to look at the reminder app??? Dumb. I’m much better off using the calendar to set a reminder cause you can set an alert and even a second alert. Having no way to set alarms in the reminder app make it almost useless. It’s basically a ToDo list at best.
