Apple Watch Screen Not Turning on when wrist is lifted

My apple watch will not come on when I left my wrist. It won't come on either if I tap the screen. I have to press the digital crown for it to come on. Then, it doesn't go to my watch face. It goes to the app screen. I've restarted and started it multiple times with the same results. My setting with wake on wrist raise is turned on. It just started doing it a week ago.

Swipe up the screen - is Theater/Cinema mode lit up - that's the twin theatrical masks icon. If so, tap to turn it off
