For the last few months, iMessage badges have not been showing. The contacts and groups are NOT muted. Badges are turned ON in notification settings. I did a hard restart. I’ve closed out and restarted iMessage several times. I am on the latest iOS release as of today including the rapid patch from a few days ago. What gives?

I get notifications from iMessage. Sounds, vibration and lights, just no badges
