time machine copy

Can time machine data be copied to another external disk, then the copy be used as time machine on the same computer without losing the backup data?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.6

Nope' Time Machine backups can not be copied to another drive. If the old drive is too small or failing, then you will need to start new Time Machine backups on another drive.
