iMac and dual monitors

I just purchased an iMac 24 inch....is there a way to connect two additional monitors? I have tried and it is only showing one. Any tips on how to do this?

The iMac 24" M1 supports only a single external monitor.

Can a M2 Mac mini run dual monitors with different content I’m thinking of replacing my iMac with a Mac Mini with an m2 chip. I want to connect two monitors, which I know it is able to do. However, nowhere in my research on this does it answer the question of whether the two monitors can have separate content, or if they just mirror each other? Is anybody able to definitively answer this query? Thanks in advance.
