Delete temporary backup for transfer since not transferring

I mistakenly indicated I was transferring data to another iPhone. A temporary backup was created. To delete it the instructions warn that deleting it will “delete all of this device’s backup data from iCloud.” Can I assume it won’t delete other backups? Thanks. What if I just wait until it is auto deleted?

iCloud backup delete i have a new iphone and icloud backup from old phone. i transfered data with quick start. if i delete old backup icloud without creating first new one on new device will everything be deleted from icloud?
