I just upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro Max. How do I make sure the device is backing up regularly to my iCloud?

Go to Settings ➜ Account (top of settings) ➜ iCloud ➜ iCloud Backup, and make sure it's turned on.

It will also tell you there the the last successful backup was made.
