my kiddo locked me out of my phone is there any way to change the password or code without factory resetting and if I do the reset will I loose everything

Unfortunately no, resetting it will wipe all data from the phone. There is no way of resetting the password without erasing the phone. If you made backups, you can restore your data from them.
