It appears that most of the time I doing update some other feature on my phone doesn’t work anymore. Why is that?

It appears most of the time that I perform an update some software (iPhone) features are no longer available. Why is that?

iPhone Features Not Working After an Update:

A. Reinstall Apps and Reconfigure Settings:

Probably incompatibility, or you need to reconfigure a few things. When you update to a newer version of the iOS, the app that is installed needs to be uninstalled, and then repurchased as the higher-version.

B. Clear the Caches:

Clear "System Data"/"Other":

Clear the storage named "System Data" (formerly called "Other"). It basically contains unnecessary files such as caches that are used for system ease of use - all of which gather over time: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tips. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use.
