Sharing & Permissions in info panel not showing

macos Ventura 13.3.1, MacBook Pro 14" 2022

When clicking on "Info" of any folder in the Finder, the "Sharing & Permissions" section is not showing. And no, there is no arrow to click to make it appear.

What am I missing? Where can I check and edit permissions?

All sharing settings (users and folders and permissions) disappeared after macOS update Our Mini just suggested an update from macOS Monterey 12.4 to 12.5 ... I complied, and ALL settings under sharing is GONE!!!! 30 users ... looks like I have to start all over! How weird is that? How annoying is it? Please see this screendump - looks loke everything is gone! But even weirder ... if I click OPTIONS . I get this: So maybe everything is not gone? Or what? I do have a Time Machine backup - also a recent one from just before the update ... but where does macOS save these settings? I need to know in order to restore them. Otherwise I have several hours of work ahead of me ... SIGH! All suggestions welcome! Peter

Mac Ventura file sharing stopped working I have file sharing enabled on my new Mac Air with Ventura and when it was first enabled, with the Downloads folder shared, it was working fine. Suddenly however it’s stopped being accessible. All the settings still look fine and I haven't changed any password etc. Another strange occurrence though is that in trying to solve this I found I can’t turn file sharing off under System Settings -> General. The slider refuses to turn off. I also can’t delete the shared folder, it goes through the actions but doesn’t delete. I even unloaded and reloaded the Samba daemon in terminal but it’s still not working nor can I turn it off in Settings. Does anyone know why or have had similar problems?

'Sharing & Permissions' does appear on my home folder and the folders therein. However, it does not appear in any of my document folders.

Is this related to my having turned on iCloud Drive for desktop and document folders?

Is this on an external drive? Does 'Sharing & Permissions' show up on folders in your local drive?
