Troubleshooting Mac Charge Issues:

Refer to the following....

A. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:

(Applies to Intel-Based Macs Only): Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. Updates), system configurations (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. Try performing each thrice. It may take sometime, being certain you have the time to perform these resets.

B. Try a New Charger:

• Power & Cables - Mac Accessories - Apple - Select "Mac Compatibility" on the left
• Find the Right Power Adapter and Cable for your Mac Notebook - Apple Support

Troubleshooting Mac Charge Issues:

Restore from a Time Machine Backup:

Did you recently install any update(s)? If so, that may be the culprit. So, did you ever  create a Time Machine Backup of your Mac in the recent past? If so, backup to day, and then restore your Mac from the older one. If not, then know to always create a Time Machine Backup. that way, you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong after the reconfiguration.

Same problem, but on macOS 13.4.1 (22F82).

Interestingly this only happens at home – at work everything’s fine.

Troubleshooting At-Home-Only Power:

Check your fusebox. If there is ever a nearby lightning strike or power outage or utility work, the outlet may have rouge as a result of it. So, see if you need to switch it back on.
