How to duplicate mainstage patch without taking up more resources?

I was wondering if there is a way to duplicate a patch in mainstage without taking up more resources. This way I can have different versions of the same patch just with different channels muted/unmuted. I have so many variations of the same sounds that I think I am taking up way more resources than I need to in my set.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

I don't use them myself so cannot provide specific help but do a search for the use of Alias; as I understand matters, these may allow you to do what you are looking for.
