Annoying "Allow Paste" message

thank you, very helpful. I wish they had a global setting, but this will work.

I am using 16.5 and two Apple Apps (Notes & Messages) and it is still doing this annoying practice. Stupid in the extreme, especially when it does it twice in the matter of a few minutes.

Same is happening for me and I have no idea why. 16.6

I have been annoyed by the same issue, until I found this:

or briefly:

go to Settings > AppName > Paste from Other Apps and switch it from Ask to Allow. Many apps don’t include the setting; hopefully, any apps where you paste often will have this setting or include it soon.

This is ultimately related to Universal Clipboard, which is detailed for you at Use Universal Clipboard to copy and paste between your Apple devices - Apple Support. It will alert you in regards to app copied content so you're alerted to what is happening in the background.

Are you on the latest version of iOS 16? The problem you are describing sounds like an issue that was reported with early versions of iOS 16. Make sure you using 16.4.1

I’m experiencing the same issue when pasting from Safari to Notes which I do regularly so it’s a big inconvenience to me. Apple needs to add an ‘always allow’ option, if 3rd party apps are including this option then surely Apple can too!

This is happening for me since iOS 17.1 on my iPad copying from Safari browser to Notes. Super annoying!

That is not a useful answer.

Looking through the comments it seems lots of the complaints relate to pasting from and to Apple apps. Apple should take action to remedy this problem.
