Is my Safari app genuine?

I have been getting some odd messages on my Safari app. I have a 9th gen iPad and it is showing as being updated to the latest version. It was recently reset at the Apple Store.

My question is, is my Safari app genuine?

I ask this also because I downloaded Netflix from the AppStore and it says it is an SDK version 2012.4 (Version 15.25.0 - 4327) which doesn’t seem right.

Unfortunately, it is not allowing me to attach the screenshot images to this post.

When using Zoom on Safari, it said “Your browser does not support using the computer’s Audio device. To use Zoom, install the latest version of a standard browser, such as Chrome, Firefox and Chromium Edge.”

It also said “Zoom recommends that you upgrade your browser to the latest version. After the upgrade you will be able to: See the video of the active speaker and use the audio devices on your computer to speak and listen.”

When I log in to Google using the Safari app, it is a very plain blue simple interface with “ ©2010 Google “

When I tried to access a webpage it said “Safari couldn’t open the page because the server stopped responding.”

It recently had a log for ANECompilerService which I asked about in another topic a while ago that never got resolved, which may be or not be connected.

I have since found it is not genuine but a beta version.

I am not convinced it should be running in kernel mode, but that may be an incorrect interpretation.

Some websites incorrectly identify your iOS/iPadOS Safari User Agent when used in one or other of its browsing modes - of which their are two - these being Desktop and Mobile. Misidentification of the browser Agent can affect how a website will respond - often with misleading prompts or information.

Common issues are a website indicating that your browser is unsupported, is out of date, or simply won’t properly render a page.

It’s easy to switch between browsing modes if a website isn’t functioning correctly. From the desired web-page, touch the aA icon at the left of the Address Bar; this will reveal a menu. From the menu select Website Settings, then select (or deselect) Request Desktop Website, then tap Done. Now refresh the webpage.

The chosen setting will be saved for the selected website - and can be simply reversed if needed.
