Can't update firmware for AirPods Pro 2

I've followed the instructions for updating the firmware on my AirPods Pro 2nd Generation. Nothing seems to work. I don't have the option to turn off case sounds in the settings. The Firmware upgrade is the next step in troubleshooting this issue. I've tried the following steps for both iPhone and iPad. I've rebooted the device. Reset the Airpods. Connected to music for 30 seconds. Connected airpods to power. Closed the case. Waited 30 minutes. Still no updated firmware. Would be really helpful if there was a visual to know if it's updating or not.

Hey Uriarte69,

Are you 100% sure that your AirPods are genuine Apple AirPods Pro? There are a lot of fakes out there that work and look almost the exact same as regular AirPods. I myself have gotten scammed buying 3rd Generation AirPods, and I had the same issue trying to update the firmware until I figured out they were fakes.

You can identify your AirPods here: Identify your AirPods - Apple Support (IE)

You can also check your serial number here (However fake AirPods sometimes copy genuine AirPod serial numbers.): Find the serial number of your AirPods - Apple Support (IE)

I hope this helps! It honestly happens to the best of us man! :(
