First of all I want to inform you about one thing: the 0.5x zoom is the ultra-wide-angle camera and is one of the 3 degrees of optical zoom present on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: 0.5x (Ultrawide angle), 1x (Wide angle) and 3x (Telephoto). The optical zoom has only these three degrees, while the digital zoom, of lesser quality, reaches 15x.

I’ve never heard of this problem, but I can give you some general tips:

1) Forced restart. To do so:

Press and release the Volume Up button quickly

Quickly press and release the Volume Down button

Long press the Side Button (power) until the Apple logo appears

2) Update your device. Make sure you have the latest iOS version available, iOS 16.4.1. To do this open Settings, then "General" and "Software Update". If you are on iOS 15 as in the information you provided, go down to "iOS 16" and press "Download and update". If you’re wrong and on iOS 16, press "Download and Update".

3) Restore. To do so:

If you have a Mac running MacOS Catalina 10.15 or later: Connect your iPhone to your computer and open the Finder. Now you have to put the iPhone in recovery mode. To do this:

Quickly press and release the Volume Up button

Quickly press and release the Volume down button

Long press the side button (power) until the Apple logo appears

At this point select the device in the list on the side, press on "General" and then on "Restore".

If you have a Mac running MacOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier or a Windows PC: Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. At this point you need to put the iPhone in recovery mode. To do so:

Quickly press and release the Volume Up button

Quickly press and release the Volume down button

Long press the side button (power) until the Apple logo appears

At this point select the device in the list on the side, press on "Summary" and then on "Restore".
