How do I read usb drive on my MacBook?

Follow these steps:

  1. Plug the USB stick into your MacBook, either using the built-in USB ports or a USB to Thunderbolt converter
  2. Open Finder
  3. Navigate to the USB drive, which should be shown under 'Locations'

To be recognised by macOS and iPadOS, the attached USB storage device must be formatted to FAT, FAT32, exFAT, APFS or HFS+. Microsoft NTFS and other proprietary formats are not supported.
