2nd owner: Need OS re-installed after first erased their traces: However, I’m getting “recovery server cannot be contacted” errors. Help! See installer log entries below:

I recently purchased this MacBook Air, 2020 M1 second hand. I keep getting the error message due to “Recovery server can’t contacted” and here are the errors that I am seeing in the installer log. It starts out by saying

“will load trustcache at path:/Install macOS Monterey….”

next, “will not load trustcache because files are missing”

OSISSoftwareUpdateController

“failed to load catalogue”

disk1s2, 1s3, has no value role. Assuming valid ownership state.

Failed to initiate ownership for disk, 5 S1 error domain equals system, administration error code 94 Apple internal/library/buildroots …

OSISPredicateUpdateProduct” OS installation payload timed out loading catalogue, same thing on the next line, but then it says no products found.

From there it says in compatible apps list timed out loading catalog, incompatible abscess no product found”

From there is where I get the error predicate update products that failed with error. The recovery server could not be contacted..

How do I get this OS installed?

You shouldn’t completely erase an Apple Silicon Mac.
